Oops...my fault

I posted a sideboard I had finished on kijiji and had a lot of interest.
Now often if I'm really busy, I give people my cell phone number because texting is often easier for me. I take my cell phone into my workshop and leave my laptop in the kitchen.
That's fine, but I really should pay closer attention to who is texting me. See mistakes can happen. I had someone on the computer emailing me about the sideboard and another person texting me. I thought it was the same person :(
So I basically ended up selling the sideboard twice.
I wasn't paying enough attention. MY FAULT!
I felt horrible. Simply horrible.
The second person was gracious about the mix up. (the first person had no idea) Thankfully I had another sideboard waiting to be redone.
We emailed back and forth and I got a few ideas from the new prospective client about what she wanted.
I sent her pictures of the unfinished sideboard.
It really was rather pretty, Solid black walnut.
All the original pulls were on it.
It had been sitting in my garage all summer just waiting for me to pay it some attention.
You know I had to take some leg pics right? ;)

So I pulled her out and got to work.
This is how she turned out. I did strip and sand her right down before getting to work.
Ohhh did you notice my pup? He is our newest addition to the family. He's about 4 years old and we adopted him from a shelter. Very shy but perfectly behaved :)
See this amazing wood. I love it :)
I just knew this piece was waiting for the right owner to come along.
I painted the inside and everything was sealed.
I think it turned out perfectly, and so did my newest client. They can't wait to pick it up this weekend.

Can't stop looking at these legs. :)

Sometimes mistakes turn out well. PHEW!
Now I really do have to pay more attention. Can I blame age? please? ;)
