Teal Console Table

I keep meaning to blog about every piece that I do/recreate. But it all seems to slip away from me. Some come in and go out so fast it just slips my mind.
I was organizing some of my pictures and remembered this little piece that came in, and was out in just a couple of days.
I found it on kijiji (Canada's version of CL)
Just a simple little console table, but I love these things...you can do so much and be so creative with them. And they sell very very well.
So I picked it up. Glued it all back together and got to work.
I think she turned out well.
I changed out the hardware and glazed it.

Painted the inside white...all with chalk paint...and sealed it.
I really liked it. Husband really liked it. He was actually suggesting places it could go :)
It was out the door and off to it's new home the day after finishing it.
I'm so happy.

  4. That is so pretty. It makes it seem so much more modern in the pretty teal color. And as for the "taking pictures and forgetting to blog" syndrome.. Oh girlfriend! I hear you! I do the same thing. It seems strange that the hardest part of DIY blogging is the actual blogging part! ha ha! Thanks for linking up at the UFO party!

    1. I mix my own glazes. I bought a can of clear glaze and then just put some into a small container and mix whatever colour strikes my fancy at the moment. I'm so honoured you like what I do..I'm a big fan of yours as well :)

  8. Forgive yourself about not blogging about all that you do. I post about 15% or so. There's no rule that you have to.

I love this makeover, btw. Come link it up at our party http://www.finecraftguild.com/party/ It's worth with others!

  9. Hi, I am about to paint almost the EXACT same piece of furniture, almost the EXACT same color and then I stumbled upon your blog! I'm new to this and am absolutely loving the color you did. What I like most about it is the appearance of other shades of color within the teal--did you do anything special aside from the teal paint and the dark wax? Thanks so much for any help, I love what you're doing!! :) Hilary

    1. Hi Hilary.
I didn't use a wax, I mixed my own glaze and then sealed it with a Poly seal. Each piece turns out differently depending on my own mood and how much glaze I use. I would love to see your final result. You can email me at 1titia@rogers.com :) Good luck :)

  16. Lovely transformation! How did you manage to get it out the door and to a new home...with both of you liking it? In our house, one of us really liking a piece usually means it stays. ;)

Thanks for linking to Time Travel Thursday.
