I don't know about where you are, but here in Southern Ontario it's SPRING!
We've had some absolutely fantastic weather. I spent the whole day outside yesterday. I can't remember the last time I did that.
I know to those of you in the south, this doesn't seem like much. But oh my..for this early in the season this is amazing!
I even managed to get out into our veggie garden and pull weeds. I know, I know, not overly exciting, but I love getting my fingers into the soil and feeling the promise of things to come.
I was also able to get into the garage (at the cottage) and work on some things I've managed to pick up over the last week and work on some things that have been sitting here since last year.
First I picked up this little table last year and was able to finally get it finished.
This makes me think of violins playing, I don't know why, it just does :)
I love the aged look of the music and the french provincial look of the legs. It just seems so perfect to me.
Look closely. Do you see the tiny tiny flowers there? SPRING I tell you.:)
I'm so pleased with the way this turned out.
Then this week I also picked up this table.
Not overly exciting but ohhhh so cute.
It needed some updating though.
And since I was in a beaching frame of mind.
I decided to do this.
I tried to give it a really aged look.
A "B" for beach, and the line reminded me of towels. I know it's a bit of a stretch, but it seemed right to me at the time..lol
The double circles are a nice touch I think.
So do you like?
Picture this out on your deck holding your favorite book on that sweet shelf and a nice cold glass if lemonade.
I also worked on a table that has 6 matching chairs...but I'll leave that till next week when I can get back to the cottage to finish it.
Ohhh I have a ton of door and drawer fronts I picked up...but again, will wait till I'm done those to show pics.
I hope you are all doing well and getting out and enjoying this amazing early spring.
I know I am. :)
